At Todd Beamer Campus, my current high school, I am an active member of the Equity Team. Our objective is to spread love and equality while fighting against prejudice and discrimination. This helps the Beamer community because it makes the students/staff at Beamer more comfortable in their surroundings. The PSEC motto of "Be the change you wish to see in the world," fits me well because I would prefer to see this world be less judging, and I am not a person that judges other people.
Last week at Beamer our school held a campus day. The Equity Team did two activities which are called "If you really knew me...," and "Cross the line." Both these activities were very powerful and had students in tears, but not bad tears. Also, the Equity Team has created a secret wall where students/staff post "If you really knew me, you would know that...," statements, all anonymous. This connects the students/staff together because it lets the people in the school know that they are not alone. We received one statement that said, "This wall makes me want to actually come to school each morning." These activities have show how Equity Team has impacted Todd Beamer.
Equity Team is a new club; it was established January 17th, 2008. It is already making an impact in Beamer and will continue to make changes. I believe that if I were to attend PSEC, I could start making beneficial changes to the school and community by makes it a better place to be. I may only be one student, but by following PSEC's motto, I will be able to make the changes I would like to see in this world. Even if I do not attend Todd Beamer next year, I will continue to be a part of Equity Team because I wish to continue to help the Beamer community. If I attend PSEC for my junior and senior years, this kind of drive to make changes will not die down. I will strive to make the PSEC community a more enjoyable place.

Thanks for the comments, i read your entry essay too (haha) and i thought it was really inspiring, so many people are so into themselves and it's nice to see someone trying to make a change. I really agree with the fact that if you don't like the way something is done stand up and change that. It's very admirable that you care about other people, most don't. :)
But in reality, competition I agree isn't a bad thing. actually, getting competitive is what makes some people do better. I don't have a problem with that, I'm just saying, that in the process of chasing something specific,
actually, I've got a great example. Say My Friend and I both like this girl, but he doesn't know this, and she doesn't know this. instead of Pushing him down and running for it, why not let him do the running? that way instead of having one enemy, and one really close friend, I'll have 2 good friends you know?
I don't know I guess. I hope that example helps support my opinion.
